When you purchase your Diamond - hand selected by the owner, a graduate gemologist - the benefits are endless. The day you purchase your ring, you can be assured that it's under a complimentary warranty at no additional cost to you.
The Colonial Jewelers Lifetime Warranty
Thorough inspection of all prongs, channel and setting work to assure none of the stones move in any way. Re-tipping is the process of adding small amounts of metal to the tip of each prong. Stones do not have to be removed. *In the instances where Rhodium is required a charge MAY be incurred.
When possible, Colonial Jewelers will provide lifetime resizing of your ring. Some rings are not sizable, especially if there is a large difference, a specialty design or there is micro pave. Changing the size of a ring with micro pave is never recommended. If you resize this type of ring it may be unrepairable as the stones will loosen and the integrity of the ring will never be the same. Due to the stress that sizing puts on a ring, only one resizing will be covered under warranty for every 12 month period of ownership.
Loose stones will be tightened at no charge.
Any scratches and or scuffs will be polished. Some finishes can’t be restored. Steam, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing. In the instances where Rhodium is required, a charge MAY be incurred.
Colonial Jewelers will replace one round natural Diamond up to .20ctw at no additional charge to consumer as long as the warranty requirements have been met.
We require that you come into Colonial Jewelers to have your items inspected every 6 months so that we can check for any loose stones and perform necessary repairs. The warranty states clearly what we cover and includes requirements for the semi-annual inspection to keep your jewelry in warrantable condition.
If damage should occur, Colonial Jewelers has the option to charge the customer to get their jewelry back in warrantable condition and then update and reinstate the warranty. Free Lifetime Maintenance is for normal wear and tear on an item. Wear and tear is stress that normally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal wear or aging.
Any damage that is caused by accident, negligence or abusive/unusual wear will not be covered by the Colonial Jewelers Warranty.
We provide a complimentary appraisal for your purchase and strongly recommend that you have your ring insured for such instances. Ask us about Zillon Insurance.
You should never wear your rings in the following situations as they put more than normal wear on your ring:
To sleep (sheets are very damaging to the prongs of rings) While cleaning or using any household cleaners In hot tubs or other chlorinated waters (especially white gold) To the gym or any strenuous activity that can cause impact While gardening or working outdoors While using hand sanitizers or antibacterial wipes or hand soapsColonial Jewelers provides the Lifetime Engagement Ring Warranty free of charge and can terminate the warranty agreement at any time for any reason.
Please read and sign to the right for the conditions of the warranty. Unsigned warranty forms will not be valid.
*To keep your warranty valid you are required to visit Colonial Jewelers every 6 months to have your items inspected and maintained. Should there be a lapse in time and warranty has become invalid, Colonial Jewelers may charge the customer to bring the item back into warrantable condition and then update and reinstate the warranty.
