Hello my name is Carla and I'm from Berkeley County, WV. With over 20 years experience in the jewelry industry, DCA and GIA certifications in Diamonds and gemstones, I am a jewelry fanatic! I love Diamonds and exotic gemstones, and all fine jewelry. I have a genuine appreciation for the finer things, excellent craftsmanship, creativity and the time that goes into each piece. I believe there is a piece of jewelry to fit every personality and occasion. I would love to help you find that perfect gift! When I'm not at Colonial Jewelers, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, visiting new places, festivals, gardening and am up for anything fun and exciting! I am blessed mother of two beautiful adult daughters and a mimi. I'm very excited to have this opportunity to work for a fourth generation family owned business that is focused on giving back to the community.

Okay, this might be a long post, but it could help someone! My fiancé bought me a ""temporary"" ring since I’m quite clumsy and not exactly a girly girl, but I know how important quality is. My fiancé also wanted me to be part of the custom ring process. However, he didn't want to wait to propose, so he went ahead anyway!
My fiancé and I had an appointment to have my ring resized, and this was our second ever visit here, our first visit we were in and out 15 minutes. I was always intimidated by the ring buying process, especially at a boutique place like Colonial Jewelers. So I was very anxious and nervous about this appointment.
We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were told that our salesperson, Carla, would be meeting with us. Right away, I spotted a ring I liked, but since I already had a ring, I didn’t want to spend more money. My fiancé encouraged me to check it out, so Carla brought it over for me to try on. I was amazed by how much I loved it. I’ve always wanted an emerald in a vintage-style ring that was simple yet stunning – and this was exactly that. It was my absolute dream ring.
We walked around the store and chatted with Carla, who was incredibly sweet. Other staff members also came over to talk with us, making the experience even more enjoyable. We learned so much about different items. In the end, I decided to go for the ring and even picked out a pair of earrings – what’s another $325, right? LOL
Carla was never pushy; she listened to everything I wanted and indulged us in exploring bands, gemstones, and more. She noticed how captivated I was by that ring, but she also understood that I didn't want to part with the one my fiancé originally proposed with. Carla offered various options for how we could repurpose the original ring and we loved all of her ideas and it made us feel so much better that I could still have a part of that ring with me.
I highly recommend Colonial Jewelers, especially Carla, who was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be coming here first for all my jewelry needs. They also offer curated wishlists, so if your partner is looking for something specific, like a particular gemstone, they can add it to the list and provide suggestions for the perfect purchase. Carla walked around with me as I picked out items for my wishlist, and my fiancé was thrilled since gift-giving isn’t his strong suit. It was a win-win for both of us!

I had a great experience at Colonial Jewelers, the ring I got for my fiance was perfect. Carla was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and made sure I was up to date with everything I needed to know.
