Fast forward to 2025 at Colonial Jewelers where all natural mined diamonds carry a lifetime trade-in value of the amount you paid at the time of purchase. Because natural diamonds are made from the Earth over the course of 1-3.5 billion years, they are just as unique and rare as your love for your partner.
Trading in your Colonial Jewelers diamond is as easy as bringing your existing ring to our showroom! We have a record of your purchase, so don’t sweat it if you can’t find appraisal documentation. The full purchase price of your diamond will be applied as a credit towards your new diamond purchase of at least double the original amount. There is no time limit on the trade-in program, so if you’ve been waiting for that special milestone, let’s make that upgrade happen!
Not a Colonial Jewelers diamond? No problem! Bring your ring, diamond report, and any appraisal documentation that you may have, and the owner will evaluate your diamond and make an offer for trade, if possible. If you don’t have the diamond report or appraisal handy, we can still make an offer. However, having these documents gives more accuracy in terms of the diamond specifications because they were recorded when the diamond was graded loose as opposed to set in a ring.
Once you’ve traded in your diamond, there are a few options for creating your new ring. If your setting allows, we can set your new diamond into your original setting. Sometimes it’s necessary to choose a new setting in order to accommodate your new center stone, and our sales associates will verify with the master jeweler while you’re in.
